Despite the prevalence of childhood mental health issues, many children and families do not seek treatment.

The objective of the cwa is to promote well-being of children as much as possible, much like regular physical health checkups. The cwa aims to identify potential areas of strength and challenge in a child’s life, as well as provide evidence-based recommendations and resources to support children and families in promoting overall well-being. The cwa includes a comprehensive assessment of the child’s psychological, social, and emotional functioning, as well as an evaluation of family dynamics and environmental factors that may impact the child’s well-being.

The cwa is not meant to replace traditional mental health services but rather to complement them by providing an early intervention option for families who may not seek help otherwise. By identifying and addressing areas of challenge early on and building upon areas of strength, the cwa can help prevent more serious mental health issues from developing and promote overall well-being for children and families.
